Velonews Interview

In almost all cases we prefer to discuss with the client the exact size, model, and color of the frame or complete bike to be purchased. Milano Sport normally has fifty to sixty frames in stock in various models and colors and many component kits plus various spares for older bikes, i.e. Super Record parts, etc.

All complete bikes are built to order.Once the exact frame is determined the consumer can pick not only the component kit but specify crank length, cassette ratio, favorite saddle, tires (or tubulars), tape, etc. Please note that classic frames are measured center to top whereas all alloy frames and some newer steel ones are center to center. Please refer to our technical pages.

Made to measure frames require a 60% or greater deposit and take up to ninety days to deliver.

Custom paint is available both from Alberto Masi and from various U.S. painters. Simpler color schemes are less costly and quicker to produce.

Assembly of all complete bikes is free. Freight is extra. No frames will be sold without headset/bottom bracket installed. This is to ensure quality control by Milano Sport.

All payments to Milano Sport must be in U.S. currency via check or money order; at the present time we do not accept credit cards, but may in the future. Layaways are welcome as many of our clients order in the autumn or winter for spring delivery.

Please note that all the Italian bike industry is closed for the month of August. Clients are welcome to visit our Greenwich, Ct. showroom but please call for an appointment via phone: 203-869-9735 or e-mail: milanospt@aol.com
